Handoff rule

A researcher may move an opportunity to Ready for Coordinator Review only after all mandatory research fields are complete. The coordinator then approves it for execution, returns it for missing information, holds it for later or rejects it with a documented reason.

The execution intern formally accepts ownership and records the next-action date. Research responsibility continues when clarification is needed.

Source monitoring

  • Daily: deadline-sensitive programs, active funding calls and imminent registrations.
  • Weekly: startup missions, incubator announcements, investor opportunities and university calendars.
  • Monthly: institution directories, evergreen programs and historical organizer lists.

Useful starting sources include Startup India (opens in a new tab), Kerala Startup Mission (opens in a new tab), BIRAC (opens in a new tab), AICTE (opens in a new tab) and ICAR (opens in a new tab). Inclusion does not imply OBAOL qualifies for a specific program.

Opportunity Master essentials

Every unique opportunity should record its ID, official title and URL, category, organization, geography, deadline with timezone, eligibility, benefits, costs or commitments, research owner, relevance score, qualification decision, execution owner, status, next action and date, outcome, evidence and notes.

Relationships should remain linked: one organization can offer many opportunities; one opportunity can have many tasks, communications and supporting documents, but only one primary research owner and one primary execution owner.
